GBA Master Series created a Client Advisory Board to provide heightened guidance and insight to our product development team. The Board helps the development team understand the needs and wants of software users, and assists in directing the future of the products and the route needed to get there.

Thomas Braun, IT/GIS Manager
Sanitation District No. 1, KY
User Since: 1999

Tom Braun is the IT/GIS Manager at Sanitation District No. 1. He was the Project Manager during the installation of gbaMS in the Fall of 1999. Tom's team is currently responsible for maintaining the gbaMS system, its security, and basic training to users. They assist with helping other departments at Sanitation District No. 1, make the most effective use of gbaMS based on their specific needs.

Cheryl Carner, Work Management System Administrator
City of Overland Park, KS
User Since: 1996

Cheryl Carner has worked for the City of Overland Park for 24 years. Her current title is Work Management Systems Administrator, and she handles all database administration and training for the GBA Master Series programs.

Overland Park was incorporated as a first-class city on May 20, 1960. At that time, the population was 28,085. Currently the population is more than 165,000, making it the second most populous city in the state. The City’s geographical area includes about 63 square miles of Johnson County in Kansas.

Overland Park has been recognized by Money magazine as one of the Top 10 “Best Places to Live” in America.  Ranked sixth on the list, Overland Park was recognized specifically for its abundant high-paying jobs and affordable housing.  Overland Park also recently became one of only 39 cities to be accredited by the American Public Works Association.  

Kevin S. Coons, Sr., Systems Analyst
City of Wichita, KS
User Since: 1994 

Kevin is a Systems Analyst with the Wichita IT/IS Department.  He is responsible for overseeing GBA Master Series, which is used by the Water Utilities and Public Works departments.  In this capacity, he is responsible for maintaining the GBA Master Series application throughout the city.  He handles all the updates, service packs, and troubleshooting of the system and the servers, which store the application and data.  Kevin is also responsible for creating or helping users create specialized Crystal Reports. 

Prior to working for the city, he worked for 19 years with the Boeing Commercial Airplane Company in Wichita as an Ergonomist, database administrator, and web page developer. Kevin currently has a Masters in Management Information Systems and is working towards his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification.

Joe DeVito, Director of Field Operations
Beaufort Jasper Water & Sewer Authority
User Since: 2002

Joe DeVito has 28 years experience in public works and utilities industry. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Joe joined Beaufort Jasper Water & Sewer Authority in 1988. Today, he oversees a field operations crew of 45, with five system Supervisors. Joe has been one of the guiding voices during the implementation phase of GBA Master Series software. As a licensed distribution and collections system operator, Joe is a member of WEAC, AWWA, and the AWWA distribution committee. On a quarterly basis, he teaches distribution collection system at the state level. He has also been the chairman of the Zoning Board and the Architectural Review Board in his town.

Beaufort Jasper Water & Sewer Authority serves one of the fastest growing counties in South Carolina. The Authority has 45,000 water accounts and 20,000 sewer accounts. It maintains 1,400 miles of pipe and adds 60 miles of pipe and 25 wastewater lift stations a year to keep up with the population increase. Beaufort Jasper Water & Sewer Authority has three satellite facilities separated by islands, and crews communicate via computer network connections. The remote communications necessitate field applications, which is one of the reasons that GBA Master Series will play an important part in the Authority’s infrastructure management.

Rogelio Matta, Senior Administrative Analyst
City of Fontana, CA
User Since: 2003

Rogelio has worked for the City of Fontana for 21 years in various capacities.  The first half of his career at Fontana he was a landscape technician, a park supervisor and the Superintendent of Parks and Landscape.  The last ten years he has worked in the administrative area.  Currently he is the Senior Administrative Analyst for the Public Works Department.  He is responsible for the department’s fiscal activities as well as overseeing technology projects such as the implementation of gbaMS and the department’s GIS effort.

Mark Kramer
Town of Gilbert, AZ
User Since: 2005

Mark Kramer has four years of engineering experience that includes closed conduit hydraulic modeling for fire sprinkler systems and water distribution systems, and residential and commercial land development. He worked as a software consultant for four years implementing work management and infrastructure management software, three of which were with gbaMS. In his current role as Systems Administrator for the Town of Gilbert, Mark supports systems that include EDEN products – Core Financials, Utility Billing (65,000 accounts) and Community Development – and gbaMS products – Fleet (600 vehicles), Water (928 miles), Sewer (707) miles), Storm (88 miles) and Streets (1,525 miles). Mark is a registered civil engineer in Arizona.

The town of Gilbert has been using GBA Master Series software since 2004. As the fastest growing town in the United States, Gilbert spans 75 square miles, with an estimated population of 180,000 that has a 7 percent growth per year.
